Robot Toys, Video Hosting and the Death of Teletext

Today I've been listening to the most recent episode of Guardian Tech Weekly.  In the run up to Christmas presenter Kevin Anderson talks to Caleb Chung, creator of robotic toys such as Furby and Pleo.  Chung explains the inspiration behind some of his creations as well as discussing his diverse experience and skills.

As usual, Guardian's Tech Weekly covers a multitude of topics in each episode, so following Caleb Chung we hear from founder of Brightcove, Jeremy Allaire. Brightcove, a video hosting service, is more than just a 'YouTube' and in this section of the programme Allaire explains why.

The programme closes with a round up of the latest tech news, where we learn, amongst other things, that the UK's teletext service is coming to a close.  I'm not sure if anyone still uses teletext, but really?... no more Teletext?...
